Before i start i just want to say how incredibly proud i am of you and how far you’ve come over the past few years! It’s amazing to see you living your best life and being so happy, it’s what you deserve!

10 years ago i first heard your music and since then i’ve been a fan. That afternoon i got home from school and downloaded every song i could find. A lot has happened to me in those 10 years but one thing completely tore it apart. At 14 years old i was sexually assaulted, i thought i was never going to get through it, that it would be the end of me. I blamed myself, maybe i was too drunk? maybe i shouldn’t have worn a skirt? this blaming happened for years and years. But thankfully everyday i had your music to listen to, it made me smile, laugh and cry whenever i needed it the most. One song in particular had a lasting impact on me Change, it motivated me to push through the dark days because life was going to get better and it finally has.
Your court case really inspired me. The strength you portrayed throughout the entire ordeal was inspirational. That dickhead really put you through hell and you came out the other side stronger and that’s something to be proud of. The courage you showed gave me the strength to finally talk to my mum about what happened and hopefully one day i’ll have the courage to talk to my dad.

Thanks to you i’m still here today, i’m in my final year of studying to be a nurse and one day i’ll be able to use my experiences and struggles to help other people in similar situations.
